One Sunday, a few weeks ago, when the autumn arrived and the trees were exploding with colors, we got up very early to look for mushrooms in the Orastie’s Mountains.
We are not experts in mycology, not by a long chalk, but we were with two friends who are. They showed us these beautiful and incredible surroundings that we didn’t know.
I have to admit I feel a special predilection for this season: the intensity of colors, fallen leaves, the rain, the smell of roasted chestnuts, pumpkins, mushrooms, the smell of the firewood… It brings me to my childhood and a certain melancholy comes over me.
When we reached the top of the mountain, there was a thick fog which seemed to be clouds and came down wrapping everything; creating an eerily beautiful effect. A few sun’s rays lighted up just the small houses in front of us. The landscape was bucolic. There was an absolute silence, except for the noise of the drops which were falling from the leaves’s trees.
Little by little, throughout the morning, while the sun’s rays were rising, the dense fog disappeared. Letting us to admire the rest of the landscape which was absolutely awesome.
Amanita phalloides, espectacular por fuera pero venenosa.
Amanita phalloides, beautiful outside but poisonous.
It rained so the countryside was in its glory. Lots of droplets covered the meadows and the mushrooms.
In our walk we found a shepherd with his pigs. A curious picture!
We love making pictures of haystacks, they have a singular beauty! Coming to Transylvania means you will be transported back in time because, although I don’t remember it well, I have photos up a haystack when I was three years old, in my great-grandparents’ house. Today you don’t see them in Spain.
¡La mezcla de colores era espectacular!
The colors mix was amazing!
